GenPot: a generative honeypot architecture for adaptive web and API interaction was published online in Applied Intelligence (Springer, JCR Q2). It is joint work with J. Zamorano and Jose A. Onieva, and the code is open source.

The project AgentAPT was selected in the competitive call of the Chair of Cybersecurity of the University of Málaga and Google (VirusTotal). AgentAPT is an LLM agent with tool calling that interrogates Google Threat Intelligence / VirusTotal sandboxes to attribute malware samples to APT groups.
Adversarial red teaming and imbalance correction in heterogeneous NIDS: a class-specific adaptive GAN framework was published online in the Journal of Information Security and Applications (Elsevier, JCR Q2). It is joint work with Carmen Fernández-Gago and Jose A. Onieva, and the AMD-GAN code is open source.
Presented HDDAF, a framework for drift detection and adaptation in AI-based threat detection systems, at the XI Jornadas Nacionales de Investigación en Ciberseguridad (JNIC 2026), organised by INCIBE and the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.

I took part in the Málaga Qiskit Fall Fest 2025, a training event on quantum computing organised by Quant·UMA in collaboration with IBM Quantum. It consisted of hands-on workshops and programming challenges with Qiskit.

I took part in the XXIX Spin-Off Competition of the University of Málaga and won an award with TenguCTI, a cybersecurity spin-off built around a decentralised threat-intelligence platform. The award recognises research, technological innovation and knowledge transfer.
A course on the new scenarios and services that are exposed to advanced cyberattacks, and on the growing need for highly specialised professionals. Talks and round tables with experts from the public sector, academia and industry analysed emerging challenges and the cybercrime profiles of the near future.
The Cibersec+ Network Doctoral School and Meeting, funded by the Spanish State Research Agency (AEI), brought together PhD students working on cybersecurity in Lleida. We met other researchers in the field and presented and discussed the progress of our doctoral theses.
The University of Málaga celebrated the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology (IYQ 2025), proclaimed by the United Nations on 7 June 2024, with a day of talks on quantum computing, communications and sensing, followed by a round table with national and international experts. Its aim was to bring quantum technologies closer to students and researchers.
I led a team of five in the “La Canción del Verano” hackathon (Reto Enseña) organised by Oracle Spain. Over the competition we solved a series of cybersecurity challenges and finished first in the overall ranking.
At the CyberH2O Cybersecurity Hackathon, organised by the INCIBE Chair together with the University of Girona, more than 50 participants competed on technical challenges related to cybersecurity in the water sector. I finished third in the overall ranking.
